Week 24 marks Beattie's fifth appearance on Team of the Week

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC forward Steven Beattie has been named to the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 24 of the league’s inaugural 2019 season.

Beattie notched his ninth goal of the season to help his side earn a point on the road against Toronto FC II on Friday evening.

After trailing 1-0 to begin the second half, defender Tony Walls was brought down in the opposing box by Toronto's Griffin Dorsey, earning the Red Wolves a penalty kick. Beattie stepped up and finished with a strong strike past goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky to level the match.

Beattie leads his team in both goals and shots on target and is second overall in chances created. Week 24 marks his fifth appearance on Team of the Week.

Chattanooga closes out its monthlong road run on Saturday, Sept. 14 as the team travels to Lansing, Michigan to face Lansing Ignite FC at Cooley Law School Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET, and fans can stream the action live on ESPN+.
